A full before-and-after tour + why I write

Today’s a big day for me and my little house: We’re being featured on Design*Sponge, one of the longest-running and most well-respected sites for all things home. I’m pinching myself and feeling extra grateful.

If you’re new to my blog and visiting from Design*Sponge, welcome! And to my loyal readers, a virtual hug to you.

Here’s a quick intro: My name is Rebecca, and I’m a lover of old houses and creating a good life for yourself. My husband and I recently renovated our historic home, and I’ve made it my mission to empower women to dream big, then chase those dreams. It was my dream to transform our dated house into the beauty she could be (and you can see all the before and after pics in the NEW Home Tour tab at the top of the page).

Sometimes the world of blogs and Instagram feels wholly superficial, and I worry that the subtext of a blog or IG account like mine is, “Praise me! Tell me my kids are cute! Tell me my house is cute!”

But really, my intention is to promote the good life. And the great thing is we all have a different idea of what that looks like. I hope my story encourages people to really go for it, whatever “it” is for them.
