This morning I was happy to see Benjamin Moore’s Color Trends 2020 palette because an old favorite is finally getting the attention it deserves.
Introducing Thunder, an underappreciated warm gray that is simply perfect for doors and millwork. It’s a perfectly cozy shade that sings when close to other colors.
I’ve had it on my doors since the first month we bought our house in 2012. And when we repainted the house, it was the only color that remained. So even though it’s a color “trend” this year, this gray has serious staying power.

Painting doors a color besides white is so much fun, and Thunder is a versatile option (also, I still love the ceiling color in my daughter’s room; it’s Sherwin-Williams Aristocrat Peach but looks similar to BM’s Color of the Year First Light).

Any chance you recall where you purchased the orange and pink wallpaper? I have First Light in my living room and LOVE this combination!
