I announced last week that this year’s Parade of Homes in Idaho Falls will feature its first show house, and this week we start decorating! It’s going to be fun and frantic for sure.
Today I want to introduce you to our decorating team. Each of these ladies will be responsible for one room in the show house, and we will have all their contact info and social-media details available at the house. Here’s a peek into their portfolios:
Sierra Bestor (@our.bestor.life)
What I like best about Sierra is that every IG photo looks like real life, but a beautiful real life. Her decor feels minimal, but every item carries its weight visually.
Her posts are a feast for the eyes, so I thought, Why not have her decorate an entire eclectic, vintage, modern, kaleidoscope of a room? Can’t wait to see what she comes up with.
Katie Butler (@butlerhousedesign)
Katie’s eye for detail can’t be beat. She knows how to fill a space so it feels lush and intentional. She is a designer by trade, and her rooms are rich with pattern, texture, wallpaper, and art.
Katie is decorating the master bedroom and bath for the show house. It’s sure to be a treat.
Olivia Cooper (@honeybfloral)
Olivia is arranging flowers for the dining room, and you can bet they’ll be showstoppers. She specializes in bouquets and arrangements that are happy and freeform. Whimsy is her trademark.
If you love flowers and want to see some of the hottest blossoms lately, be sure to check out her dining-room display.
Tanya Cromwell (@idahohomedesign)
Tanya is part owner of Next Construction, the group that built the show house, and she’s styling some of the spaces too. Her own design business, Idaho Home Design, offers decorating services for southeast Idaho.
Another big shout out to Tanya for embracing this whole show-house idea.
Krystal Hansen (@simply_girly_blog)
Krystal is a pro when it comes to styling a space. I am always excited to see what she dreams up for each new season, and her vignettes never disappoint.
Krystal is the true holiday queen without being cutesy or cheesy. She is decorating the family room—a heckuva big space—and I know she’s gonna rock it.
Andrae Kelly (@andraekelly)
Andrae is a bona-fide designer, and she’s spent her career tackling huge commercial projects and custom homes. She’s ultra organized and intentional in everything she does.
She’s a lover of minimalism and clean lines, and she’s currently fixing up her own midcentury dream boat of a house. She’s decorating one of the kid’s rooms in the show house.
Rebecca Long Pyper (that’s me!)
If you’re reading this, you know what I’m about: pretty colors, old houses, vintage finds, books, and art.
I’m decorating the main-floor guest room, so please come take a look.
Courtney Parmenter (@courtneyparmenterdesign)
Courtney is a professional designer and event planner, and her expertise is, well, making everything look magazine worthy. She’s also a historic-home lover, so she’s got excellent taste. 🙂
Party photos shot by Justin Hackworth
Courtney is decorating the front room off the entry, and you’ll have to come see what she does with it.
Manda Struhs (@bakeaman)
Every space Manda designs feels bright and clean. She’s a little bit farmhouse and a little bit romance, and it’s a perfect combo.
Manda is decorating one of our bedrooms, and I just know it’s going to be a happy, sweet space.
Stephanie Thompson (@sweetkitchengoddess)
Stephanie is helping stage the dining room and kitchen with sweet treats she whips up like some kind of flour-flinging wizard. Seriously, her stuff makes me wish I wasn’t gluten free. See what I mean?
Come see her cakes in real life and as part of a real table setting.
Whew! That’s our team, and that’s a whole lot of loveliness in one post. And just for fun, can you guess which two of the ladies above are my real-life sisters? 🙂
