Research project on ice cream (naturally)
Happy (almost) weekend, and welcome to the busiest time of the year for moms with school-aged kids! If you’re like our family, your calendar is full with kindergarten graduation, end-of-year programs, and making up missing schoolwork. It’s crazy and exciting that summer is just a couple weeks away. I know you’re all busy, so here are a few things I wanted to share quickly:
1. Keds x Rifle Paper Co.: You’ve likely seen this collaboration—it’s so good. And a few of the kids’ offerings are on sale right now. I just ordered these shoes for Sis, and they were a true steal at $20 plus free shipping. Now if I can quit being such a cheapo and order some twinner ones for myself….
2. Alarm clocks for the win: For a few months, I’ve been waking up to a traditional alarm clock instead of the alarm on my phone. I have to tell you I love it. During a girls’ night with my mom and (a few) sisters in March, we had a favorite-things exchange, and I gave alarm clocks to everyone. Less technology and getting back to basics for the win!
3. Good reads: I recently finished The Two-Family House by Lynda Cohen Loigman and loved it. My mom gave me The Martha Manual for Mother’s Day, and I can’t wait to read it. I’m also currently reading The Radium Girls by Kate Moore—an addictive nonfiction book that’ll make your toes curl. It’s about women who painted luminescent radium paint onto watch faces and toasted their insides in the process. Makes you wonder what we’re using today that we’ll find out down the road wasn’t good for us.

4. A cute bathroom detail: I loved the shallow shelf in this bathroom—such a beautiful, understated detail that 1) allows you to decorate your bath without hammering a single nail into the wall and 2) would look lovely even without holding anything.
That’s it for this week! I’ll be busy the rest of the day staining my deck. See you back here on Tuesday. •
I’ve been looking for a cute alarm clock for this very reason. Ideas?

The ones I got for my family were turquoise, vintage inspired in style, and less than $5 at Walmart. They are adorable.

I love the shoes! I’m so glad Rifle Paper Co. is doing so many collaborations with different companies. 😍 I like that style of shoe for little girls, julia has some red vans that style and I love them.
I read The Two-Family House last year and loved it too!
