Historic Homes for the Holidays 2021

Historic Homes for the Holidays

Friday, December 3 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, December 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The tour is back and better than ever this year! Tickets will be available starting Nov. 15 and can be purchased online here or in person before the tour at RE/MAX Prestige, 1684 Elk Creek Drive. During the tour, they will be available at The Rogers building downtown at 545 Shoup. Cost is $10.

Here are the properties in this year’s tour:

The Rogers is our ticket vendor during tour hours. Wait until you see what’s going on inside!
The upstairs apartment at this downtown shop is part of the tour lineup.

When you purchase your ticket, you will be provided with the property addresses. Please remember these important details:

• Shoes must be removed before entering each home. Please bring a bag to place your shoes in while you walk through the houses; that way, we can avoid snow and slush dripping on floors.

• Mask use is determined by each homeowner. Please bring a mask and look for signs at homes where masks are required.

• Restroom use is not permitted on the tour.

• Many of the residences have stairs. If you have questions or concerns about this, please email rlpyper123@gmail.com.

Some of you know I am part of the Tautphaus Park Funland restoration committee. Restoring this historic amusement park is a great (and needed!) project, and I know it will be an asset to our community when completed. Funland’s grand reopening is set for Summer 2022, and all proceeds from this year’s tour will be donated to this cause.

So plan to attend this year’s tour! If you love historic homes, holiday decor, and supporting a worthy cause, this is the event for you. Hope to see you there!

  1. I am so excited! What a great lineup. I have admired that first house on Ammon by Sunnyside for years. Can’t wait to see inside!

  2. Hey BTW – it took me some searching to find the tour dates in the post. I ended up finding it in the ticket section. Would you want that more at-a-glance? I am so excited. And GREAT choice for proceeds.

  3. Only four hours on Saturday?? That is 20 minutes a house, not including drive time. That makes it hard for people who work during the week making Friday impossible. I’m excited to see what we can!
